Our work

We seek to shape a culture in San Diego where nature is a common interest of all – where people learn to appreciate, understand, and actively protect the natural world.

Since 1948, San Diego Audubon members have been dedicated to protecting and appreciating our local wildlife and their habitats. From the tidal flats of the Tijuana estuary to the fir stands on the crest of Palomar…from the foggy sycamore and oak groves of the coastal canyons to the sun-parched Borrego badlands, we actively work to preserve San Diego’s environment through a variety of nature-oriented programs.

In this section you will learn about our nature education, conservation and wilderness sanctuary programs.
