When the freeway ends, turn right onto Mapleview St. At the first traffic light you come to on Mapleview St., turn left onto Ashwood St. Stay on Ashwood St. for about 5 miles. Ashwood St changes to Wildcat Canyon Road, but keep going. When you get to the plateau at the top of the climb up the hill (this will be obvious), in about 1/4 mile the road will make a gentle curve to the right. Slow down and use your turn signal (right turn); you’re almost there. Shortly on the right there will be a colorful sign that says Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary. You’re there. Turn right into the Sanctuary, and park in the dirt parking lot on the left. Someone will meet you there.

Santee Lakes Photo Stroll - From Highway 52 going east, exit at the Mast Blvd. off-ramp, turn left to go under the freeway, proceeding east on Mast to Fanita Parkway.
