Sami Collins is the Preserve Assistant at Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary. An SDSU graduate in Sustainability, she completed her education in May 2017 and began courses in the water studies program at Cuyamaca College when she decided that particular resource was of interest to her. She would like to one day work in advanced water treatment. She has trained in various water industry disciplines but sadly, had to halt halfway through her SD County Water Authority internship because of the COVID-19 case rate in the county. Sami intends to return to that line of work in the future.
