Kindra Hixon is a Naturalist with San Diego Audubon's Education Program. She is a native to the Pacific Northwest and moved to San Diego to enjoy the sunshine and to pursue a career in environmental science. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies with an emphasis in conservation from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon. She has a love for the outdoors and is often spending her free time hiking, camping, birding, and traveling. Teaching the next generation about the importance of conserving our natural world and how to create a connection to nature is her passion.
