Jorge Ayón
Jorge Ayón is a bilingual naturalist guide for SDAS and works closely with local schools and communities. He is a San Diego native with a deep interest in exploring all natural surroundings and enjoys teaching others in outdoor settings. Jorge began his investigations of the natural world in 2016 and continues to document his findings on iNaturalist (@biocowboy). Over time, his focus shifted from birds to all other taxa which has helped expand his knowledge and develop a passion for photography. He earned a B.S. in Biology from CSU Long Beach and has worked with various agencies such as County of San Diego, CA State Parks, CA Fish & Game, USGS, NPS, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife.
