View of the San Diego Bay from Emory Cove

Join San Diego Audubon as we restore habitat for birds and other local wildlife! We will be removing invasive weeds like Sahara Mustard, Algerian Sea Lavender, and Freeway Iceplant in particular. With your help, we'll make room for native species to take hold at this site where many native birds forage, rest and reside. You may even catch a glimpse of Pink Floyd, Emory Cove's famous free-roaming flamingo!

Below you'll find all the details for the event:

When: Saturday, June 24th at 9:30 AM

Where: We'll meet at the Bayshore Bikeway parking lot off of CA-75 (South of Silver Strand State Beach) and walk North along the bike path to get to the Emory Cove restoration area.

What to Bring: Please come prepared with closed-toe shoes and layers in the case of cold or windy weather. We'll provide all the tools needed for weeding, gloves, snacks and extra water so please bring a reusable water bottle.
