El Monte County Park on the road to El Capitan Reservoir and Dam is a wonderful 88 acre park with spectacular views of the “Monte” – El Capitan. There is a mixture of grassy lawns, native oaks, and chapparal slopes. Birds that we hope to spy include Wild
Turkey, Hawks, California Thrasher, woodpeckers, Oak titmouse, and some of the migrants that spend the winter in our County. Restrooms available. Capped at 12 participants.
