Birding: Palomar Mountain State Park
"This pleasant amble about Palomar Mountain State Park will follow a loop along the
Doane Valley Nature Trail and perhaps a bit of the French Valley Trail. Target birds will
include Mountain Quail, Wild Turkey, Band-tailed Pigeons, Mountain Chickadee, Oak
Titmouse, Brown Creeper, and more. Bring a lunch, if you wish, for an after walk picnic.
Restrooms adjacent to the Park entrance office, and at the Doane Valley Parking Lot.
Weather may be variable. Bring water, hats, sunscreen, and enthusiasm. Participation"
