El Monte County Park on the road to El Capitan Reservoir and Dam is a wonderful 88 acre park
with spectacular views of the “Monte” – El Capitan. There is a mixture of grassy lawns, native
oaks, and chapparal slopes. Birds that we hope to spy include Wild Turkey, Rufous-crowned
Sparrows, California Thrashers, and some of the migrants that spend the winter in our County.
Restrooms available. Capped at 12 participants.
