The San Diego Audubon Society is excited to announce our 2018 San Diego Bird Festival, February 21-25. The Festival will be held in the Bayview Room in the Marina Village Conference Center, conveniently located on scenic Mission Bay and just minutes from San Diego International Airport and close to our festival hotel, the Dana Resort.  We hope you will join us as a sponsor at the 2018 San Diego Bird Festival and Birding & Optics Expo.

Our festival is a destination for serious birders and nature lovers.  The 2017 Festival drew 480 registered guests and over 600 families for family-specific activities. 65% of the registered attendees were California residents, and 45% attended the Festival for the first time. Registered guests tend to be working or retired active adults who travel to experience birds.  Non-registered guests tend to be members of the community, particularly families with children who appreciate nature and may be our birders of tomorrow. We are proud to be one of the largest birding and eco-tourism events in southern California.

We will again offer our Birding and Optics Expo in the Bayview Room of the Marina Village Conference Center, which will be open to the public.   The hours are:

Feb 21, 2018 Setup 1:00 -4:00 pm, open hours 4:00-6:00 pm
Feb 22, 2018 Setup 1:00 - 3:00 pm  open hours 3:00-6:00 pm
Feb 23, 2018 3:00-6:00 pm
Feb 24, 2018 noon-6:00 pm
Feb 25, 2018 10:00-4:00 pm  Teardown 4:00 - 6:00 pm

Most of our sponsorship levels include a booth in the Expo. Space is limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Please claim yours early. You can learn more about these levels here.

The deadline for receiving your sponsorship information is June 15, 2017.  You may secure your sponsorship by visiting the sponsors link on our website and registering for the desired level.  A credit card is preferred to secure your sponsorship, however, if a portion of your sponsorship is in-kind, or if your company prefers receiving an invoice, you may reserve your space by calling Jen Hajj at (801)671-9505. 

San Diego Bird Festival will consider a combination of cash and in-kind contributions (e.g. catering, advertising, silent auction items, entrance tickets, etc) towards sponsorship packages.

* Space is limited

All booths are approximately 8X8 with a single 6 foot table with an ivory table covering and two chairs. Pipe and drape is not included. We encourage the use of freestanding banners and furnishings for your booth.  

Electricity and wifi are available to all Sponsors.

After June 15, 2017 booths may not be available through sponsorship but must be obtained as vendors.  

All sponsorships can incorporate an in-kind component, but sponsorships of the Heermann’s Gull level must consist of at least $1000 cash component and Red-Shouldered Hawk and Rhinoceros Auklet levels must consist of at least $500 cash component.
