kendall frost marshHelp restore native flora at the The Kendall-Frost Marsh Reserve! This revegetation project has focused on creating a more natural slope between wetlands and uplands, which provides vital habitat for a wide variety of plants and wildlife including the endangered Light-Footed Ridgway's (Clapper) Rail. Come join our volunteer work party and help with erosion control, irrigation, and the fun part, planting native plants! Emory Cove provides important habitat for both resident and migratory bird species, and the San Diego Audubon Society has teamed up with the Port of San Diego and the San Diego Oceans Foundation to restore it! Help us remove invasive ice plant, and replace it with native coastal sage species. Join I Love A Clean San Diego and San Diego Audubon for the 32nd Annual Coastal Cleanup Day! We will be focusing our efforts on restoring native sand dunes at South Shores in Mission Bay and collecting litter from the surrounding area.
