Welcome to the 2012 San Diego Bird Festival

Nature Discovery Workshop Series ( 2 Events )

San Diego Audubon is launching a fun new series of public workshops focused on a variety of nature topics! Starting this October, we are excited to begin offering regular workshops throughout the year. These workshops will be open to everyone including members and non-members alike. No matter what your goals are when spending time outside, we hope to inspire nature lovers like you! Enjoy more wildlife around your home, increase your birding skills, become more observant in nature, and explore some of the amazing habitats that San Diego has to offer.

Sneak Peak: We have many engaging topics in the works, and we are excited to share them with you! Possible themes include pelagic birding, ethnobotany, birding by ear, wildlife tracking, bird photography, and more! We will be kicking off our new series with two workshops this Fall:
  • Bird Language, and
  • Native Plant Gardening for Wildlife

birdingatbirdfestival

San Diego Audubon Field Trips are dedicated to the goal of introducing newer birders, visiting birders, and anyone else who is interested, to the varied habitats and avian inhabitants of San Diego County. Bring binoculars, scopes, water, sunscreen, hat, and enthusiasm. Everyone is welcome. If you have questions, call Peter Thomas, (858)571-5076, or e-mail to prthomas1@yahoo.com. For directions to each birding site, click on Details for each trip.

Note: Advanced registration for all trips is requested.  Registration will open about two weeks prior to the trip.  Confirmation of your registration will be sent to you by email.
