Tell the City: Wetlands Matter!

The City of San Diego has a chance to restore habitat for wildlife, protect our communities from climate change, create cleaner water for all of Mission Bay, and give San Diegans a chance to play in nature in our own backyard.
But they need to know we care. Join us and make your voice heard.

De Anza Revitalization Plan Community Meeting
Monday, November 7 @ 6pm
Mission Bay High School

The City's De Anza Revitalization Plan covers part of ReWild Mission Bay's study area. How the City chooses to revitalize De Anza impacts how we can restore the vital wetlands ReWild is trying to protect. For more info about how these projects are working together, go here.

re wild mission bay
The ReWild Mission Bay team spent the winter reviewing public input and scientific feedback on the eight initial wetlands restoration alternatives released last fall.

See the initial eight restoration alternatives here.

We are using this feedback to create three final plans for how wetlands can be restored in northeast Mission Bay.

Today, we are excited to announce draft versions of these three final plans will be released to the public on April 25th so our community has an opportunity to provide input before the alternatives are finalized.

Great Horned Owl by Karen Straus
How many times have you tried to see a bird with an obscured or distant view, and could not be certain of the species? Learning to identify birds by their songs and calls may help. Most land birds are easily identified by their sounds. This course is intended for birders who have some basic knowledge of visual identification of common chaparral birds and wish to improve their birding skills. The workshop will be held in the classroom and on the trail at the Tecolote Nature Center and taught by Hank Ingersoll. Hank is an avid birder and the past president of San Diego Field Ornithologists.
