Get Involved: Volunteer Help Wanted
Outreach Committee: The San Diego Audubon Society is forming an outreach committee and is looking for volunteers. The Outreach Committee will be in charge of identifying, organizing and attending tabling events to spread the word about the San Diego Audubon Society in the San Diego Area. Conservation Committee:This committee addresses local conservation issues, deciding the level of involvement and position the San Diego Audubon Society will take. Members also disseminate information to local media pertaining to conservation issues. Great opportunity to learn about Environmental Impact Reports, regional planning, and organizing conservation efforts. Meetings on the last Monday of each month at 6:30 pm at the SD Audubon chapter office. The San Diego Audubon Society’s conservation committee meets in the evenings the last Monday of every month at our SD Audubon office at 4010 Morena Blvd. If you are interested in attending a committee meeting to see how you can get involved please contact our Conservation Committee Chair

Field Trip Committee:The San Diego Audubon Society’s Field Trip Committee is looking for help with the following:
“Audubon Ambassadors” - individuals to attend field trips and deliver announcements about chapter activities and materials from the San Diego Audubon office to the trip leaders.
"Trip Leader Recruits”- individuals who are enthusiastic about San Diego Audubon and sharing with others.
“Field Trip Scouts”- individuals are needed to assist our Field Trip Coordinator in visiting and confirming that prospective destinations are safe, accessible and a good fit for SD Audubon.
Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary Hosts: Welcome guests to our Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary in Lakeside on a Sunday once a year, from 10am to 4pm (sometimes can depart earlier) while enjoying the relaxing environment of the sanctuary. Outdoors, no experience or birding abilities necessary, just a willingness to enjoy Silverwood and greet visitors. Singles or couples welcome. Some half-days available. Silverwood Trail/Habitat Crew: Individual or group. Location: our Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary in Lakeside. Assist with trail maintenance or clear away exotic plants. Experience a plus, but not absolutely necessary. Especially needed February - May. Call (619)443-2998.
Anstine Nature Preserve Hosts: Prefer to volunteer in North County? Enjoy the beauty and birds of our Anstine Audubon Nature Preserve in Vista as you welcome guests on a Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
