The Circuit Trail is still seeking a co-adopter! This trail, which usually has a minimum bid of $2,000, has been partially sponsored but is still in need of a co-adopter to cover the other $1,000 of needed trail maintanance. This is our longest trail, which allows the greatest access to visitors.
Place your silent auction bid today, and enjoy hiking Silverwood’s trails with the knowledge you made trail access possible for hundreds of students and visitors in 2017.
Silverwood’s trail system provides engaging pathways for
more than 2,000 elementary school children and hundreds of other visitors to immerse themselves in the natural world.
The safety and sustainability of the Silverwood Wildlife Sanctuary trail system depends on both volunteer and monetary support. Steps and bridges must be maintained, trails must be cleared of weeds and encroaching branches, and ditches and control berms maintained to protect the trails from erosion.
The Silverwood Adopt-A-Trail program, established in 2015, provides monetary support for the upkeep of Silverwood’s 13 trail segments.
Adoptions are for one calendar year and directly support trail maintenance projects. Adopters will be acknowledged with “Adopted by” signage at each trailhead for the duration of your adoption gift, on our website, and in Sketches newsletter.
Bids are accepted by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone (858-273-7800, ext. 102).
Please consider adopting your favorite Silverwood trail.
The table below provides information on each trail segment and the minimum bid for adoptions for 2017. While we will work hard to update the trails info as they're bid upon, the best way to find current bids is to email email@example.com.
